Arcade Fire have released a new interactive film for the song “We Used To Wait,” off of the latest album The Suburbs. It's titled "The Wilderness Downtown" and was created by Chris Milk. Works best in Google's Chrome browser, not designed for use with Firefox.
CNN, that long-held bastion of independent music industry, has launched a new dealio on their web site called IndieAsia: On Tour With The Handsom Furs. It's a full multimedia spectacle with video, music, photos and public comments. And a travelogue-blog.
This is something that even Lazarus would dig. Nick Cave has not only written his 2nd novel, named The Death of Bunny Munrow, but he's innovated the eBook/audiobook/iPhone app sphere with a new app for the book.
Clocking in at no less than a whopping 894 megabytes, the iPhone app features a text to audio sync of Nick reading the book, complete with musical backdrop, videos of Nick reading from the book, and a 3D audio mix so you can use headphones to immerse yourself in the space.
