If you remember Hope Sandoval & the Warm Inventions and their release Bavarian Fruit Bread back in 2001, you'll be happy to know that they're finally releasing a follow up to that album titled Through The Devil Softly later this year.
The first single from the album, "Blanchard," will be released on August 4th. You can listen to an advance track of the album at the link below:
Times New Viking are returning with a new album this Fall. Titled Born Again Revisited, the album sees (and hears) Times New Viking triumphant and confident in a sound that's borderline analog crazy. In the best way.
The Skygreen Leopards worked with Jason Quever (Papercuts) on their latest effort, titled Gorgeous Johnny. It's due out on July 21st, bbut here's an advance track of the song Dixie Cups in the Dead Grass.

Tyondai Braxton is collaborating and scheming with The Wordless Music Orchestra on Central Market, and it was composed, arranged and produced by Mr. Braxton himself. You can mark to market on September 14/15 when the album is released by Warp Records.
Talbot Tagora have entered the national consciousness. You might not know it yet, but they're out there, like some poor man's Sonic Youth. Except they only have three members. And they're from the opposite coast - Seattle, in fact. They've played shows with the likes of Abe Vigoda, Sex Vid, and No Age, and now they're set to release a new full length, Lessons in the Woods or a City, on July 21st.

Summertime means Bjorktime, for this Summer anyway. She's releasing her Voltaic CD/DVD/Vinyl compilation of live recordings and remixes on June 23rd, and NPR has the whole thing streaming right now as an advance preview.
Originally announced back in February, it will include highlights from the Volta tour, all of the Volta music videos, a live studio session from the recently closed Olympic Studios, and remixes from Volta by the likes of Simian Mobile Disco, Matthew Herbert, Graeme Sinden, Ghostigital, and Modeselektor.
The second Maps album is set for release this Summer, due out on September 28th on Mute Records. Titled Turning the Mind, it was recorded at the Contino Rooms in London by Tim Holmes (Death In Vegas).
