Spiritualized have started playing live shows again, and this week sees the band performing in London, Edinburgh and Leamington Spa. The best part is that there has been a NEW SPIRITUALIZED SONG being performed. Excited? We all should be ... after the Jason Pierce health scare earlier this year and the long time span between new Spiritualized music, anything new sounds exciting. Songs in A&E was the last proper Spiritualized album way back in 2008.
It appears that new Spiritualized song is untitled at this point, or at least the name isn't publicly known. Also in included here is the song "I Am What I Am," and the new song appears to be from the Royal Albert Hall gig, and "I am What I Am" is from The Queen's Hall show. Spiritualized were going to cover the band's entire history at the Royal Albert Hall gig (not every song, but from beginning to now), which probably included material from the new album. The new Spiritualized album is supposed to arrive in the Spring via Fat Possum Records. There's also a few Spiritualized tour dates scheduled in 2012.
