Peter Walker and his band Eulogies just released their first full length album for Dangerbird Records last month, and have completed their first video from the album. The song "Eyes On the Prize" is a shiny bunch of optimistic California pop, just the thing for dreary economic times.
After signing to the Chicago-based Thrill Jockey Records late last year, Double Dagger have finished their debut album for the label, titled More. Their post-punk, post-rock, post-everything approach has a straightforward
and energetic style, merging a slightly pop approach to something akin
to polished punk; shiny and cagey but smooth at the same time.
Tortoise release their new album Beacons of Ancestorship on June 23rd, and "Prepare Your Coffin" is the second video to be released from the album. Dig the geometry
Their label Thrill Jockey describes them as "a fluid intersection of dub, dance, jazz, techno,
rock, and classical minimalism, with no part overwhelming or dominating
the whole," which is a pretty good start.

"This video was created entirely around Satomi's lyrics. Her
lyrics, which at first seemed playful, soon brought to mind questions
about free will in the context of our societies and in human evolution.
These images are an exploration of that subject. The somewhat creepy
tone that ensued is my reaction to the idea of God giving directions to
us as humans, which personally gives me the heeby-jeebies, and fills me
with an anxiety and desperate need for escape."
