Tricky's back with the third single from his album Knowle West Boy, and a video to go with it. The track is titled "Puppy Toy," and is a soulful recreation of a musical era passed by, with smashing piano keys and music that veers from quiet and sustained to loud and over-the-top. Yep, it's a Tricky song.
It co-stars Leeds vocalist Alex Mills, who's also signed to the label Brown Punk, which is owned by Tricky and Chris Blackwell. Tricky and Alex act as a couple in a damaged relationship, sniping at each other indisciminately.
Tricky will also be on tour in the U.S. this Spring.
